If it's hard imagining what an "Umbrellaphant" looks like,
what in the world would it sound like?

We will find out when the San Diego Symphony presents the PREMIERE
performance
of BEHOLD THE BOLD UMBRELLAPHANT
at its Family Festival Concert on November 8.

Composer Lucas Richman and Jack Prelutsky
(who will narrate his poems) will attend this premiere performance.

Lucas Richman, Music Director of the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra,
was commissioned by the San Diego Symphony to compose this
symphonic piece for its Kinder Koncerts during the 2009-2010 season.
Known for his work with young audiences, Mr. Richman has also appeared
as guest conductor with numerous orchestras, including the New York
Philharmonic, Los Angeles Philharmonic, and Baltimmore Symphony.
He has collaborated with celebrated soloists such as Rostropovich,
Garrick Ohlsson, and Lang Lang.
